Pre-Kindergarten

PreK Students Visit the Pumpkin Patch

Philosophy: St. Paul's Pre-Kindergarten is often the first formal school experience for many children. The philosophy of the program is to form positive attitudes and habits to insure a smooth transition from the home environment to the school environment. This goal is accomplished through a developmentally appropriate curriculum that integrates a variety of subjects and skills necessary for the spiritual, physical, social and emotional growth and development of the four and five year old.
Curriculum: Activities involve projects that enable children to learn through exploration and discovery. Skills are acquired through hands-on experiences and social interactions with peers. Manipulative tools are a part of daily lessons. Learning games are integrated daily through a variety of experiences and enrichment activities. Formative concepts, language and experiences are introduced for the Everyday Math and Foundations and Frameworks programs.
