In 2008 Grades Pk-2 implemented the comprehensive and research based, Saxon Phonics and Spelling, which provides engaging, explicit instruction in the important foundational skills of phonemic awareness, phonics, spelling, alphabetizing, handwriting, and fluency with high-frequency words.
