6th Grade Religion Course

St. Paul’s has such a unique opportunity to offer a religion course to our sixth graders through their history class. Because we are an Episcopal school, religion classes emphasize the core beliefs and elements experienced in the Episcopal Church, however, we honor diversity and recognize that many of our students come from various traditions. We hope to focus on what we have in common rather than the differences.

The curriculum challenges students in a loving, accepting, Christian environment to discover what they believe for themselves.  We focus on many of the Bible stories that shape the Christian community of faith despite denomination.

During their sixth grade year, students will learn the basics of the Bible, fully understand the Episcopal worship service, and be prepared to receive communion.  While all students must take religion, we feel you will find this opportunity addresses the spiritual needs of every student.
