Scott McDonald

Dr. McDonald is enjoying his 12th year at St. Paul’s Episcopal School and fifth in administration. He received his bachelor’s degree in Education from Emporia State University. While at ESU, he played four years of varsity baseball and was team captain.  Dr. McDonald later went on to coach college baseball at two different schools, most recently the University of North Alabama, while earning a Master’s Degree in Education.  In addition to his duties as Director of the Middle School, he serves as a varsity assistant baseball coach working with hitters and outfielders.

Always committed to being a lifelong learner, Dr. McDonald has since completed a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and his Ph.D. in Instructional Design and Development from the University of South Alabama.  Dr. McDonald is quick to note that he has  been blessed to work in many wonderful capacities in the educational field, enjoying kids from kindergarten to college students. These adventures include teaching special education, teaching computer classes, History, training teachers, coaching, and administration, to name a few.  He truly believes to be a successful educator or a successful educational community it is imperative to motivate and inspire students to be lifelong learners and assist in developing a passion for learning. 

Nothing is more precious to Dr. McDonald than his family.  He is married to Kim McDonald (Pre-K-2 Librarian for the Lower School) and they have two wonderful sons Dayne (1st grade) and Brooks (pre-k 4). Dr. McDonald is a diehard Oklahoma Sooner fan……BOOMER SOONER and GO SAINT’S!!!
