Announcing St. Paul's New Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach

St. Paul’s Episcopal School is thrilled to announce the hiring of Mr. Kent Fullington as the Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach. Fullington holds an impressive background, bringing over 13 years of experience, and most recently serving as the Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Sylacauga High School. Fullington earned the Talladega County Coach of the Year for three consecutive years (2021-2023), and has a four-year career high school head coaching record of 83-37. During his tenure at Sylacauga, Fullington earned his team multiple championships, including most recently, Big School Champions in 2023. Having advanced to the AHSAA Final Four, and earning the Southeast Regional Championship in 2021, Kent has consistently held Sylacauga strong in area and regional tournaments.  
 
Prior to Sylacauga, Kent coached at Vestavia Hills High School for nine years, where he also taught physical education and served as the Men’s Golf Coach and Assistant Softball Coach. Fullington is a graduate of Oak Mountain High School and earned his Bachelors from The University of Montevallo in Kinesiology (2014).
