Bio
Men’s tennis coach Austen Johnson brings a wealth of tennis experience to St. Paul’s men’s team. An SPS alumnus (’01) , Coach Johnson played on the Varsity team for 4 years and helped lead the Saints to 4A state championships, winning 4A individual championships along the way. Coach Johnson attended the University of Mississippi where he majored in Curriculum and Instruction and received a B.A in education. He and his wife Alice (SPS ’02) moved to Mobile from Birmingham in 2014. He has two sons and one daughter who will carry on the tennis tradition. Coach Johnson has continued to play local and regional league tennis since graduating college, and is excited to be at the helm for the 2021-2022 season, going on his 4^th year as Head Coach.
