Mrs. Robinson’s Second Grade Class Packs Items For Homeless Veterans
This year’s second grade faculty has adopted Eagles Landing, a housing facility for homeless veterans, as their service project for the year. Each class will pack holiday treat bags as well as other needed items like soap and spices for the residents. Mrs. Robinson’s class kicked off the year on Wednesday October 8th by packing Halloween bags decorated by the students with a snack cake, crackers, and garlic salt as well as a toiletries bag with chapstick and hand soap. They each also made a Tootsie Pop spider to decorate the bags and set the Halloween mood! The students had made festive pumpkin door hangers in class for each resident as well. Mrs. McGee dropped the items off the next day.
