Dear Fellow St. Paul’s Parents,
What an honor and a joy it is to serve as your 2022 Saints’ Fund Chairs. As St. Paul’s Episcopal School celebrates its 75th school year, we invite you to reflect on what St. Paul’s has meant to you and the many families it has served. As the 75th anniversary coincides with my wife’s 25th Anniversary as an alumna, it is truly a special year to lead the Saints’ Fund and we hope to make it a success.
Lee has many fond memories of her experience at St. Paul’s, especially of the Fine Arts department and the Community Service Class, now known as Service Leadership. She remembers taking her high school art classes in neighboring houses that were used by the school, before the fine arts facilities were extended. Through her time as a student, later as an active member of the Alumni Council, and now as a current parent, Lee has observed incredible transformation on St. Paul’s campus and in the abundance of opportunities offered to our students. Through the years, the family atmosphere has remained unmatched. Lee has now seen so many more aspects of this great school through the vast experiences of our 8th grade son, Forrest, and 6th grade daughter, Louise.
While Lee’s connection to St. Paul’s drove us to consider it for our children, I was new to Mobile, and we were both open to the many schools available to us. At St. Paul’s, we were drawn to the foundation of faith, the nurturing, family-like atmosphere, and the commitment to tradition, with one of my favorite’s being the annual Veteran’s Day Assembly. As my time and involvement with the school has progressed over the past eight years, my love for St. Paul’s has become undeniable. The more vested I become, the more it gives back to me. I am especially grateful for our outstanding teachers, staff, and athletic coaches who pour into our children every day. St. Paul’s has truly become my family.
From our different perspectives, we both have a deep appreciation for the whole St. Paul’s experience. One of the most impactful ways we can support our students is by making a financial gift to the Saints’ Fund. Like many of you, we sacrifice to provide a St. Paul’s education for our children. Even so, we continue to give above and beyond our tuition dollars each year. Tuition covers roughly 80% of St. Paul’s annual operating costs. Therefore, the Saints’ Fund is critical to ensuring the educational experience that is so unique to our school. Join us in making a gift to Saints’ Fund this year to help make St. Paul’s an even better learning environment for our children, as it is truly “a great place to grow.”
Thank you for your consideration, and GO Saints!
