Dear Fellow St. Paul’s Parents,
For as long as I can remember, St. Paul’s Episcopal School has been a part of our lives. Liz and I both graduated from St. Paul’s in 1996. Then, after college, we unexpectedly became St. Paul’s employees when Liz taught journalism and yearbook while I coached football. Fast forward to today, and we are proud St. Paul’s parents. Our collective experiences as students, staff, volunteers and current parents have only solidified our love for the school. Over that time, we have seen first-hand how the influence of great teachers, passionate coaches and a tireless administration can impact a child’s growth and personal development. Today, we hope and pray for this continued influence on our daughters, Blake (10th), Livy (8th) and Sophie (5th).
It is not lost on us how fortunate we are to be able to send our children to St. Paul’s. The financial commitment is significant for us as it is for all of you. However, the reality is that our tuition dollars only cover about 80% of the costs to operate the school each year. As a result, St. Paul’s relies on additional funding from the annual Saints’ Fund to bridge the gap. Every year we personally make a commitment to support the school above and beyond the cost of tuition. We sleep well knowing that our investment is being put to good use and enhancing the overall student experience. For example, last year the Saints’ Fund was instrumental in ensuring a safe return to in-person learning in addition to construction of a new classroom to support Kindergarten expansion, continued expansion of new math curriculum, a new robotics program, and much more.
We hope that you will join us in making a gift to the Saints’ Fund this year. For 14 years in a row, 100% of St. Paul’s faculty and staff have given to the Saints’ Fund. They are deeply committed to our children and to preparing them for success. Let’s support our generous staff as they devote not only their time, but also their resources to our most precious asset - our children.
Thanks in advance for your generosity and consideration.
John and Liz Ferguson
