At St. Paul’s, the safety of our students is a top priority, and the leadership of Alex Lott reflects that commitment in a meaningful way. As Director of Safety and Security, Alex brings exceptional experience in law enforcement, child protection, and interagency collaboration, strengthening the school’s comprehensive approach to campus safety.
Alex began his career with the Mobile Police Department in 2012, where he served in Field Operations before becoming a detective in the Special Victims Unit. In that role, he investigated cases involving juveniles, gun violence, and other serious offenses. His commitment to protecting children led him to specialize in child exploitation and Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigations.
In 2020, Alex worked on a multi-state case that required collaboration with the FBI, and he later served as a Task Force Officer with the FBI’s Violent Crimes Against Children (VCAC) Task Force. Through that work, he received extensive specialized training and gained valuable experience participating in operations across the Gulf Coast and throughout the nation. In 2023, he became a sworn deputy with the Mobile County Sheriff's Office and continues to assist the ICAC Task Force.
Alex’s distinguished background enhances the strength of our school’s security program and reflects the intentional investment St. Paul’s makes in the safety and well-being of its students, faculty, staff, and visitors. His experience helps set St. Paul’s apart by bringing a high level of knowledge, preparedness, and professionalism to the school community every day.
