What do you get when you mix teamwork, creativity, a little trial-and-error, and a rideable hovercraft? An awesome day with The Hovercraft Project! Our 6th graders spent the day designing, building, testing, and riding their very own hovercrafts. This hands-on STEM experience goes far beyond science and engineering. It’s rooted in a mission to help students learn to love learning, discover their individual value, and work together to create something amazing. Throughout the day, our Saints collaborated, problem-solved, and pushed through challenges. Thank you, Hovercraft Project!

There’s something special about a teacher who doesn’t just teach, but truly loves what they do and the students they’re doing it for. Out of 2,500 students across Alabama, only about 900 are chosen for the Alabama Vocal Association’s All-State Chorus and it is no small thing. Seven pieces memorized. Any part, any moment, all on your own. Under the direction of Jody Powell, St. Paul’s is once again lifting its voice! Congratulations to the following singing Saints on their selection into All-State Chorus:
After three months of practicing, these fine Saints went and made All-Region and All-State Orchestra, holding their own with the best string players in Alabama!
Senior Piper McClure has been named a U.S. Presidential Scholar Candidate recognized by the White House Commission on Presidential Scholars for outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and service. As if that weren’t impressive enough, Piper also recently earned a perfect 36 on the ACT. We are incredibly proud of Piper and grateful for the example she sets for our Saints community. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things ahead for her! Congratulations, Piper!
