Boys cross country team moves to #4 all-time in school history

At the Jesse Owens Classic, the boys varsity cross country team had a 1-5 team average of 16:28 for 5km.  That moved this team up from 6th to 4th on the all time school record board.  The meet took place on Saturday October 7 at Oakville Indian Mounds Park in Moulton, AL.
The scoring 5 who contributed to that performance were junior Daniel Gill (15:47.1), junior Estan Wrights (16:29.8), junior Wesley Robinson (16:35.1), senior Haydn Sayner Oubre (16:45.2), and senior Philip Gill (16:46.4).

All 11 of the Saints in the race ran new personal best times for 5km.  Six of the 11 had new seasonal best competitiveness ratings.  The Saints are now ranked 5th in the state in 7A.

In addition to that, Daniel Gill moved up to #5 all time on the school record board for the 5km.

Most Improved = Michael Croft

Runner of the Week = Judd Peavy

Mr Roboto Award (recognizing consistency across several races in a row): Daniel Gill and Philip Gill

"7 Award" recognizing the most aggressive varsity runner = Estan Wrights

"Bringing Home The Bacon Award" for the fastest finishing kick = Haydn Sayner Oubre
