Senior Spotlight: Bennett Brown

Today's Senior Spotlight is Bennett Brown.  Bennett joined the cross country team in 8th grade and quickly made his impact felt.  Before too long, he was named the team manager because of his superior organizational skills and problem solving skills.  Despite being injured for much of his junior year, Bennett came back stronger than ever his senior year and actually qualified for a couple of varsity meets for the first time in his career.  He also trained for and completed his first triathlon.  During track season, Bennett splits his time between distance running and throwing the discus.
Here's what some parents of Bennett's teammates had to say about Bennett:

"Our son has really benefitted from how Bennett took him under his wing, shared his wisdom, and encouraged him throughout his first season of cross country."

"Bennett has been a wonderful example of integrity, sportsmanship, and leadership for our boys.  He is always focused on the big picture, selflessly helping the team any way he can.  He walks alongside the younger runners with incredible patience and sincerity.  His commitment to his team, to his academics, and to his friends has been a joy to watch.  We are so grateful for his influence on the lives of our boys."

Here's what a local meet director had to say about Bennett:

"Bennett is one of the most responsible and conscientious young people I've ever known.  He is reliable and enthusiastic.  When he does something, he really gets into it, and you can tell he wants to do it well.  Whatever you give him, he takes it and runs with it.  He stays within the parameters of the task you give him, but also puts some of his own personality into it.  Whether its a small job or a big job, you know he's going to get the job done.  He's going to go far in life."

Well done Bennett!
