Powerful Pitching Performance From Howard Carries St. Paul's Past McGill-Toolen

Madeline Howard was dominant in the circle, as she rang up 14 strikeouts in the Saints' 10-0 victory over McGill-Toolen on Tuesday night. Howard surrendered zero hits and zero runs over five innings while walking one. 

The Saints jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Howard drew a walk, scoring one run, and Morgan Maples doubled, scoring two runs. 

The Saints added one run in the third on a sacrifice hit from Howard. The Saints scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the fifth inning, Kendall Dougherty doubled, scoring one run, Howard doubled, scoring one run, Savannah Rhodes drew a walk, scoring one run, and Libby Passeau drew a walk, scoring one run. 

Maples and Howard were tough to handle back to back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for St. Paul's. Kate Passeau, Maples, Howard, Kyndal Raines, and Dougherty each collected one hit. The Saints had patience at the plate, piling up eight walks for the game. Emily Lockhart was a terror on the bases with four stolen on the night. The Saints had five stolen bases in total,
