St. Paul's Defeats Baker on Youth Night
St. Paul's won big over Baker 8-1 on Wednesday. St. Paul's got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Kendall Dougherty singled, scoring one run and Madeline Howard homered to left field, scoring two runs.
St. Pauls extended their early lead with three runs in the bottom of the second thanks to RBI singles by Kendall Dougherty, Ava Voris, and Morgan Maples.
Madeline Howard earned the win for the Saints allowing four hits and one run (zero earned) over seven innings. Howard had nine strikeouts and walked three batters. Smith took the loss for Baker going 7 innings, giving up eight runs on 12 hits and striking out four.
The Saints had 12 hits in the game. Howard led the team with three runs batted in, going 2 for 3 on the day. Kendall Dougherty led St. Paul's with three hits in three at bats.
